[Crochet] How to Сrochet a Little Snowflake. DIY Step-by-Step.

My process of preparing Christmas gifts for my friends continues. For a new set of 6 snowflakes, I decided to use these crocheted snowflakes.

You can add this picture with snowflake to the board in Pinterest so as not to lose the interesting idea of crocheting a snowflake.

Materials and tools:

- Yarn (color white), for crocheting snowflakes, I chose acrylic yarn with the following parameters (200 m/50 g) 

- To make the snowflake shine, I added a thin silver thread to the main thread.

- Crochet hook (size 2,20 mm).

Abbreviations for crochet in this tutorial:

- Chain - ch
- Slip stitch - sl st
- Double crochet - dc
- Stitch - st
- Chain space - ch sp
- Single crochet - sc

Start making a Crochet Snowflake.


Row 1. Ch 8, join with 1 sl st in first ch to form ring.

Row 2. Make ch 3, into the ring make 1 dc, ch 2, (2 dc, ch 2)*5. At the end of the row make 1 sl st in 3rd ch.

Row 3. Make ch 3, 1 dc in the top of dc, in ch sp make 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc, (1 dc in each of next 2 tops of dc, in 2 ch sp make 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc)*5, 1 sl st in 3rd ch.

Row 4. Make ch 1, 1 sc in same st, ch 4, 1 sl st in the top of same sc, 1 sc in each of 2 next top of dc, in ch sp make - 1 sc, ch 6, 1 sl st in the top of same sc, ch 8, 1 sl st in the top of same sc, ch 6, 1 sl st in the top of same sc, 1 sc. (In each of next 2 tops of dc make 1 sc, ch 4, 1 sl st in the top of same sc, 1 sc in each of 2 next top of dc, in ch sp make - 1 sc, ch 6, 1 sl st in the top of same sc, ch 8, 1 sl st in the top of same sc, ch 6, 1 sl st in the top of same sc, 1 sc)*5, 1 sc in 3rd ch, 1 sl st in the top of sc. Secure the thread to finish the work. Hide the tail of the thread on the other wrong side. Use silver thread to make a crocheted snowflake pendant.
