[Crochet] How to Сrochet a Snowflake. DIY Step-by-Step.

Snowflakes are a classic part of any winter decor. Today i am sharing one of Snowflake Pattern Idea that you will love.

In this tutorial I will show you how to make this beautiful snowflake.





Materials and tools:

- Yarn (color white);
- Crochet hook (size 1,25 mm);
- Fine yarn (silver);
- Scissors.



Abbreviations for crochet in this tutorial:

- Chain - ch
- Slip stitch - sl st
- Double crochet - dc
- Stitch - st
- Chain space - ch sp
- Double crochet 3 together - dc3tog
- Double crochet 4 together - dc4tog
- Single crochet - sc



Start making a Crochet Snowflake.


Row 1. Ch 6, join with sl st in first ch to form ring.



Row 2. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in ring, ch 3, *3 dc in ring, ch 3*, repeat it ** 4 times yet, sl st in 3rd ch, sl st in each of next st (tops of dc).



Row 3. Sl st in 3 ch sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc3tog in 3 ch sp, ch 3, dc4tog, ch 5, *in next 3 ch sp make dc4tog, ch 3, dc4tog, ch 5*, repeat it ** 4 times yet, sl st in 3rd ch.



Row 4. Sl st in 3 ch sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 3 dc in 3 sp sp, ch 3, 4 dc in same 3 ch sp, sc in 5 ch sp, *4 dc in next 3 ch sp, ch 3, 4 dc in same 3 ch sp, sc in 5 ch sp*, repeat it ** 4 times yet, sl st in 3rd ch.



Row 5. Tie the white and silver thread together. Next, crochet with this combined thread. Make ch 1, sc in 3rd ch, 1 sc in each of next 3 st (tops of dc), in 3 ch sp make *sc, ch 3*, repeat it ** 3 times yet, sc in same 3 ch sp, sc in each of next 4 st (tops of dc), sc in next st (top of sc).



Make *sc in each of next 4 st (tops of dc), in 3 ch sp make sc+ch 3 4 times yet, sc in same 3 ch sp, sc in each of next 4 st (tops of dc), sc in next st (top of sc)*, repeat it ** 4 times yet, sl st in next st (top of first sc). Fasten off.



Hide the tip of the thread on the wrong side.

Make a pendant for a snowflake from a thin silver thread.
