Basic Stitch Abbreviations:

Chain - ch.
Slip stitch - sl st.
Single crochet - sc.
Half double crochet - hdc.
Double crochet - dc.
Treble crochet - tr.
Chain space - ch sp.

Pattern instructions:

1 step. Make chain 8 (ch) and 1 slip stitch in the first ch.

2 step. Make ch 3, 3 doble crochet (dc) together (tog), ch 4, (4 dc tog, ch 4)*7, 1 sl st in third ch.

3 step. Make ch 1, in 4 ch sp make 4 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr. 

In next 4 ch sp make 8 tr.

4 step. Make ch 1, make 1 sc in each of next 10 tops of sc in previous row. Make 2 sc in next 5 tops of sc. Make 1 sc in next of 8 tops of sc. In the top of dc make 3 sc. Make 1 sc in each of next 8 tops of sc. Make 2 sc in each of next 5 tops of sc. Make 1 sc in each of next 10 tops of sc. Make 1 sl st in the top of the first sc.
