[Crochet] How to Crochet a Snowflake.

Learn how to make your own simple crochet snowflake ornaments with this easy and free crochet tutorial.

In this tutorial I will show you how to make this simple snowflake.






Materials and tools:

- Yarn (color white);
- Crochet hook (size 1,25 mm);
- Fine yarn (silver);
- Scissors.




Abbreviations for crochet in this tutorial:

- Chain - ch
- Slip stitch - sl st
- Double crochet - dc
- Chain space - ch sp
- Single crochet - sc
- Treble crochet - tr



Start making a Simple Crochet Snowflake.



Fold the white and silver threads together. Use two threads at the same time for crocheting snowflakes.



Row 1. Ch 6, join with sl st in first ch to form ring.



Row 2. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), ch 1, *1 dc, ch 1*, repeat it ** 10 times yet, 1 sl st in 3rd ch.



Row 3. Ch 1, 1 sc in 1 ch sp, ch 6, *1 sc in next 1 ch sp, ch 6*, repeat it ** 10 times yet, 1 sc in next 1 ch sp, ch 2, 1 dc in st (top of sc at the beginning of the row).



Row 4. Ch 1, *1 sc in chain space, ch 2. In next 6 ch sp make 2 dc, ch 4, 1 sl st in the top of dc, 1 tr in same ch sp, ch 7, 1 sl st in the top of tr, 1 tr, ch 4, 1 sl st in the top of tr, 2 dc in same ch sp, ch 2*. Repeat it ** 5 times yet. At the end of the row make 1 sl st in the top of first sc in the row. Fasten off.




Hide the tip of the thread on the wrong side.

Make a pendant for a snowflake from a thin silver thread.
