[Crochet] How to Сrochet a Snowflake. DIY Step-by-Step.

I love to crochet snowflakes. I found another pattern for crocheting snowflakes today and immediately tried to crochet one snowflake. I wrote down the whole process of crocheting, and for you I compiled step-by-step instructions for crocheting a snowflake.

Materials and tools:

- Yarn (color white);
- Crochet hook (size 2,00 mm).

Abbreviations for crochet in this tutorial:

- Chain - ch
- Slip stitch - sl st
- Double crochet - dc
- Stitch - st
- Chain space - ch sp
- Single crochet - sc

Start making a Crochet Snowflake.


Row 1. Ch 6, join with sl st in first ch to form ring.

Row 2. Ch 1, insert your hook into the center ring and make first sc. Make 11 sc yet. At the end of the row make 1 sl st in the top of the first sc.

Row 3. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the top of sc, ch 3. *Make 1 dc in each of next 2 tops of sc, ch 3*. Repeat it ** 4 times yet. At the end of the row make 1 sl st in 3rd ch.

Row 4. Ch 1, 1 sc in 3rd ch from previous row. Make 1 sc in next top of dc, in 3 ch sp make 1 sc, 1 dc, ch 4, 1 dc, 1 sc. *Make 1 sc in each of next 2 tops of dc, in 3 ch sp make 1 sc, 1 dc, ch 4, 1 dc, 1 sc*. Repeat it ** 4 times yet. At the end of the row make 1 sl st in the top of sc.

Row 5.  Make 1 sl st in next top of sc, ch 1. *Make 1 sc in the top of sc, 1 sc in the top of dc. In 4 ch sp make 1 sc, ch 6, 1 sl st in the top of sc, 1 sc, 1 dc, ch 1, ch 6, 1 sl st in 7th loop from the hook, (ch 6, 1 sl st in same ch 1)*2, 1 dc, 1 sc, ch 6, 1 sl st in the top of sc, 1 sc. Make 1 sc in the top of dc, 1 sc in the top of sc, ch 1, skip 2 tops of sc*. Repeat it ** 5 times yet. At the end of the row make 1 sl st in the top of sc. Finished off.
