To crochet Christmas Star, prepare all the necessary materials and tools.
Materials and tools:
- Yarn (color white, green, red);
- Crochet hook (size 1,25 mm);
- Fine yarn (gold);
- Scissors;
- Needle for fine yarn (gold).
Abbreviations for crochet in this tutorial:
- Chain - ch
- Double crochet - dc
- Slip stitch - sl st
- Stitch - st
- Half double crochet - hdc
- Treble crochet - tr
Start crocheting a Christmas Star.
Row 1. Make a magic ring. For this wrap the yarn around your 2 fingers and hold the point where the loop overlaps between your index finger and thumb. Insert crochet hook into the loop, from the front to the back, and pull up a loop. Yarn over, and pull through the loop on crochet hook.
Work the stitches into the magic ring, over both the loop itself and the tail end.
Row 2. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 14 dc in the ring.
When you have worked all of the double crochet the pattern asks for, pull the tail end to draw up the ring.
Make 1 sl st in 3rd ch.
Row 3. *Ch 6, skip first 2 stitches in chain, make 1 sc in 3rc ch, in next st make hdc, in next st make dc, in next st make tr. On the double crochet ring, skip the 2 tops of double crochet and crochet 1 sl st to the next top*.
Repeat it ** 4 times yet. At the end of the row make 1 sl st in 3rd ch in 3 ch from the previous row.
Tie the red and gold thread together. Make ch 1, in each of next st make sc. At the top of the star crochet 3 sc, in each of next st make sc. Фе the end of the row make 1 sl st in the top of the first sc. Fasten off.
Hide the thread on the wrong side.
Make a second such star.
Sew two stars together.
Make a pendant for a star from a thin golden thread.
Make stars in a different color (white and green). Ready-made stars can be used to create a garland or stars can be used as independent decorations for the Christmas tree.
