[Crochet] How to Crochet Christmas Tree ornament with snowflake.

In this tutorial I will show you how to crochet Christmas Tree ornament with snowflake.





At the beginning you need prepare all materials and tools for crocheting.


Materials and tools:

- fine yarn with sparkles (color white);
- Crochet hook (size: 1,25 mm);
- yarn for Christmas tree (color blue);
- Crochet hook (size: 2,00 mm);
- scissors;
- sequins;
- beads (color white);
- needle;
- synthetic filler for fabric toys.

- Yarn Alize Baby Wool (175m/50g). 
- Crochet Hook (size 2,5 mm). 




Abbreviations for crochet in this tutorial:

- Chain - ch
- Slip stitch - sl st
- Double crochet - dc
- Stitch - st


Start crocheting a Christmas tree. 

This Christmas tree will consist of 2 halves, which then will need to be sewn together. To crochet the first half of the Christmas tree, take the blue yarn.

Row 1. Ch 4, to the 4th ch from the hook make 8 dc.



Row 2. Turn, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 3 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 3 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in 3rd ch at the end of the row.



Row 3. Turn, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 6 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 6 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in 3rd ch at the end of the row.



Row 4. Turn, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 9 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 9 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in 3rd ch at the end of the row.



Row 5. Turn, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 12 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 12 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in 3rd ch at the end of the row.



Row 6. Turn, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 15 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 15 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in 3rd ch at the end of the row. Fasten the thread.



Row 7. Turn, in the 12th st insert hook, make ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 7 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 7 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in next st.

Row 8. Turn, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 10 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 10 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in next st. Fasten the thread.



Row 9. Turn, in the 10th st insert hook, make ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 4 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 4 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in next st.



Row 10. Turn, make ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first top of dc from the previous row, in each of next 7 st make 1 dc, in next st make 5 dc, in each of next 7 st make 1 dc, make 2 dc in next st. Fasten the thread.



Make two such details.



The crocheted snowflake.

Take sparkle yarn.

Row 1. Make 1 ch to form the center of the snowflake. Make 5 ch (counts as first dc and 2 ch), (1 dc to 4th ch from the hook, 2 ch)*5 times yet, 1 sl st in 3rd ch.



Row 2. Make 1 sl st in 2 ch space, 3 ch, 3 dc in same 2 ch space, 3 ch, (4 dc in next 2 ch space, 3 ch)*5 times yet, 1 sl st in 3rd ch.



Row 3. Make 1 sl st in each of next 3 tops of dc from previous row, 1 sl st in 2 ch space, 3 ch, 1 sl st in ch space, 5 ch, 1 sl st in ch space, 7 ch, 1 sl st in ch space, 5 ch, 1 sl st in ch space, 3 ch, 1 sl st in ch space. (Make 1 sl st in each of next 4 tops of dc from the previous row, 1 sl st in 2 ch space, 3 ch, 1 sl st in ch space, 5 ch, 1 sl st in ch space, 7 ch, 1 sl st in ch space, 5 ch, 1 sl st in ch space, 3 ch, 1 sl st in ch space)*5 times yet, 1 sl st in the first top of dc at the beginning of the row.



Take transparent threads and sew a snowflake to one part of the Christmas tree.



Sew sequins and beads on both sides of the Christmas tree.



Sew the two parts together around the edge.



Fix the thread at the top of the Christmas tree for hanging on the Christmas tree.
