[Crochet] How to Crochet a Cute Owl Applique.💖

Hi, friends.

This Cute Owl Applique is the nice quick crochet project to work up and add to an existing project. You can add this adorable cute owl to a baby hat or a baby bag if you are getting bored with baby's summer wardrobe.

Materials and tools that you needed for making application:

- Thin weight yarn of your choice (white, yellow, pink).
- Size 1,25 mm Crochet Hook.
- Scissors.
- Gray threads.
- Needle.

Use a smaller hook for a smaller application.

Basic Stitch Abbreviations:

Chain - ch.
Slip stitch - sl st.
Single crochet - sc.
Double crochet - dc.
Double crochet together - dc tog.
Treble crochet - tr.
Half double crochet - hdc.
Chain space - ch sp.


Pattern instructions:


1 step. Make 4 ch, 11 dc in 4th ch from the hook, 1 sl st in 3rd ch. Finish.

2 step. Change color of yarn (white). Insert hook in the top of dc, make 3 ch, 2 dc tog in same loop, 2 ch, (3 dc tog in next loop, 2 ch)- repeat around. Make 1 sl st in the top of the first cluster.

3 step. Change color of yarn (pink). Insert hook in 2 ch sp, make 1 sl st, make 3 ch, 3 dc in same 2 ch sp, 4 dc in each 2 ch sp, 1 sl st in 3rd ch at the end of the row.

4 step.  Make 3 ch, 1 dc in same loop, 1 dc*3, (2 dc, 1 dc*3) - repeat around, 1 sl st in 3rd ch.

5 step. Make 3 ch, 1 dc in same loop, 1 dc*4, (2 dc, 1 dc*4) - repeat it 2 times.

6 step. Turn, make 4 ch, 1 tr*2, 1 dc*3, 1 hdc*2, 1 sc*2, 1 hdc*2, 1 dc*3, 1 tr*2, 4 ch, 1 sl st in last loop (4th ch).

7 step. Eyes: make 3 ch, in 3rd ch from the hook make 1 hdc*9, 1 sl st in 2nd ch. Finish, leaving long tail. Make second eye. Embroider eyelashes on round parts.

8 step. Sew eyes to the body.

9 step. Make tassels on the corners (ears). Embroider the yellow beak.
